a long standing staple of many cultures' cuisine, the humble wood hen is found all around the mild-weather parts of Teres. they're often kept as pets, as they require little maintenance and are soft to the touch. the fungal growths on them can be plucked safely without harming the bird itself. in some folklore, these hens symbolize abundance and prosperity.
