brugmansia lagos

brugmansia is a harsh and stern miner who died at around 50 years old, and due to somehow being revived immediately, didn't realize she had even died at all. she went back to work, though her coworkers, not knowing much of vampirism at the time, were very scared and drove her off. she eventually moved on, and started her own mining company. during one of her excursions, she found augustine, a young vampire, and took them in.

she has a bit of a hard time forming meaningful relationships with people, having trust issues from many an incident in her past, but it doesn't bother her these days. she kind of likes the solitude, actually! though she often finds herself bringing food and gifts to her employees... and even to her neighbours... and the children who like to play near her office... it's just that she had too much, really!

i. personality

• no-nonsense - fooling around can get you killed!
• generous - despite how she says she doesn't care about others, she always think about their needs along with hers
• distant - if people will turn on you for something you had no control over, they'll turn on you for any reason
• dry humour - a deadpan, sarcastic type
• good listener - she doesn't seem like it in the moment, ignoring eye contact and just grunting in response, but she'll bring up something you said months ago as if anyone could do the same

ii. design notes

• her right eye (your left when viewing her) has a scar over it
• she is stocky and muscular
• she only wears long pants, even in hot weather; she'd wear a tanktop in that case though
• it's hard to see, since it's the same colour as her fur, but she has close-cropped hair that sticks out a little bit
• she has really good posture, never slouches

iv. trivia

• vampirism gives people the ability to change form, so brugmansia has the unique ability among beastkin to essentially become more or less furry if they want. brugmansia likes this form the best though!
• she can play the guitar, but she doesn't do it often
• those memes about parents falling asleep on the couch with their arms crossed and snoring... they apply here
• she has dyslexia
• she is highly allergic to garlic
