agda is quiet and calm, often using as few words as (politely) possible. their line of work alienates them from most, as people don't usually enjoy spending time at a funeral home, and those who do enjoy there... well, you probably don't want to hang around them anyways. as a child, there was an incident that wound up with them trapped in a pit full of monsters of all sorts - they survived, but with a scarred psyche and a fascination with death.
a long-distance trucker who talks like a medieval serf while dressing like a surfer dude... he's an interesting critter for sure. he doesn't talk about himself at all though, thinking of himself as nothing special. he likes to think up stories and songs while he's on the road; it's dwarf tradition to sing and write songs to begin with, but this really gives him time to hone his craft.
a fun-loving teenager who enjoys writing stories for her friends to read. she does well in school, especially creative classes, but has frail legs, and often has trouble making it to school in the first place because of it. that being said though, her teachers completely understand, her father helps her out whenever she needs, and arna enjoys her life very much.
a kindhearted agoraphobic mailman who has an interest in cryptozoology. she does deliveries a few times a week to try and get out more without being too scared, but... it's just her luck to stumble upon a centuries long mystery during one of her outings. she has a support animal named wallace, a raven who can understand aster speaking, but can't speak back to her.
augustine passed away at a young age, about 19 presumably, in a relatively peaceful way... then awoke again as a vampire, shunned by their community which had no prior knowledge of the condition. it hurt quite bad, but augustine has always been quite a positive person, making jokes of their situation whenever they can. they were taken in by brugmansia, a miner who also suffers from vampirism.
a researcher who works at a world famous library-museum, trying to piece together the mysteries of histories all over the world. polite, but won't hesitate to hurl insults at anyone who interrupts their work. they have the ability to know how old a living being or an object is just by touching it. azuki also has a bit of a caffeine addiction, and is struggling to cut the habit.
a young woman who dresses flashy to "make up" for a personality that she sees as gloomy and boring. she is talented, witty, and funny, but very shy and self conscious, too - would that she could see it for herself. she has trouble socializing, but loves being around people regardless.
a powerful wizard who loves to help the new generations and then go home and drink a margarita or two. she has a flair for the dramatic, dressing in flashy colours and shiny textures, though she does like to keep it more on the practical side so that she doesn't get caught on things during work. she has a spouse who apparently holds a lot of influence in the scholars' society, but they're a bit secretive. beau likes to bring her students to her house for a party at the end of each semester.
a travelling merchant of fermented, pickled, smoked, or otherwise preserved foods. she has a large carrying case on her back at almost all times to make sure her goods havent gotten spoiled or gone bad. she's very bubbly and loves what she does, especially the social aspect of it - she's gotten many an offer to stay in towns and open up a whole shop, but she always turns them down.
an airship pilot, or perhaps a sky pirate, with a strong sense of justice. a robin hood type, she believes in the power of people to do what they can with what they have, to do your best while helping those around and below you. she definitely has enough confidence to follow through on her promises, but sometimes she still gets a little shy.
a mysterious but friendly man who owns a bookbinding studio and library in the depth of a massive, dark forest. it saves the traveler from a near death situation, and gives them an enchanted dictionary along with a mission to save the world (because it's too lazy to do it itself). its real name is yomogi, but it only lets friends call it yomogi or he / him.
brugmansia is a harsh and stern miner who died at around 50 years old, and due to somehow being revived immediately, didn't realize she had even died at all. she went back to work, though her coworkers, not knowing much of vampirism at the time, were very scared and drove her off. she eventually moved on, and started her own mining company. during one of her excursions, she found augustine, a young vampire, and took them in.
an upbeat and cheerful man who loves cute things and having fun, usually by pulling pranks on people. he's passionate about helping people, especially people who need a little bit of extra help. he has a bit of a harsh sense of humour, sometimes going a little too far with his pranks, but he's so genial that people don't stay upset for long.
you know those friendly old women you meet at the grocery store, almost always in the cereal aisle, just chomping at the bit to give you some recommendations? chantilly is one such woman, loving and warm, a little clueless but always happy to learn. she's fiercely defensive of her family, though thankfully the need never arises for her to act on it.
a well known bounty hunter who can be best described as a "lone wolf" in every sense of the phrase. she used to be much more open, but after her child went missing, things have changed. she's gruff and harsh, but ultimately cares a lot about her community, doing her part to keep everyone safe.
part of a trio of extremely advanced robots designed to conduct surveys of hazardous areas, dainsleif has a keen sense of danger. however, that sense is probably too keen, as she's quite a paranoid and easily startled person, always on high alert. she tends to come across as quite angry and snappy, but it really is that she's very scared. when she feels more clear-headed though, she's energetic and loves to play sports with anyone who will join her.
dell could be described as a somewhat paradoxical person; curious and fun-loving, but petrified of anything new or unknown. she wants to try and branch out, to experience all kinds of things, but thoughts flood her mind... after a traumatic incident in her past caused her to become a recluse, she woke up one day having found herself in a strange labyrinth with no entrance or exit, just a worrying amount of doors.
deneb is a very muted and subdued fellow; his former life was not one that allowed him to explore his own identity at all, not preferences or personal traits of any kind. he was the homunculus retainer of a royal family uncountable years ago, in a kingdom under the sea. after a long period of tragedy, he's now learning how to live as a normal person, though it's definitely taking some getting used to.
a mysterious woman with a warm and welcoming attitude, though how much of it is genuine is always a guessing game... on the surface, she's just another seamstress who loves to make clothes for others, but the truth is she uses her needles and thread for much more nefarious purpose. well, perhaps not - the pursuit of life after death is seen as noble by many, after all.
esterházy has a bit of a blank disposition, not knowing who or what it was for the longest time. however, given the time and space to explore the world and itself, it's become almost mischevious in nature. it feels a strong connection to the dragon at the core of the world, but it's not sure why at all...
no one knows what this is. it's been around forever, and there's only one. it can talk and has been sighted in hundreds of spots all around the world, speaking every language known to teres with perfect fluency. generally, people think of it as a sign of good fortune, especially for harvests. it's solid, with the "flesh" inside just being a strange cream-coloured almost... clay-like consistency. any parts that are severed will grow back from the larger portion of the body while the smaller part disintegrates. it smells sweet, like various pastries, and its face emotes like an early 2000s anime girl. it's pretty friendly.
a traveling doctor and medic, doing it out of the duty she swore to help others, the goodness of her heart, and a desire to see the world. he also does want to see if she can find a wife someday, but that's second- third? on her list. he lost a childhood friend to an incurable disease and has been working hard to help as many people as she can in their wake.
a mysterious and jovial person who seems to have some kind of underlying darkness to them. that being said, they aren't like... a scary murder clown. no, no. frangipani feels that the world is a very unfair place and wants to work to rectify it, but is currently unsure how to best go about it, and therefore feels conflicted in almost every action they take. the one thing that they know for sure is that circuses make people happy, usually, so they can't be that bad.
a short little fellow who operates by a "five minute rule" - if you have a problem, think about it for 5 minutes exactly, then come up with an answer. theyre blunt and honest, but love to listen to others. so far, gon-chan is unbeaten at any and all video games they play.
a cheerful and pleasant guy with a bit of a troubled past who now makes a living as an alchemist. he came from a large but distant family, one of which didn't support him at all after a traumatic incident - so he left to just start a new life on his own. he loves making soup and concoctions for his neighbours, feeling newfound connection where he hadn't before.
lottie is a brave and friendly person, if not a little awkward and distant at times. he tends to rush into situations without thinking too hard if he's under pressure; he is very smart and patient otherwise, just very bad with snap decisions. he is haunted by nightmares and a pervasive fear of hurting his loved ones, though these have lessened over time.
the younger sibling of a famous adventurer who was once exiled from the family home, yayoi looks up to him greatly and aspires to be just like him. however, they also have a strong sense of self, finding a lot of fun in self-discovery. they become an adventurer in their own right, making lots of new friends thanks to their bright and fun personality.
harvester is level-headed, calm, usually quite blank-faced... so people tend to think he's a little hard to approach, but the truth is that he just takes things slowly and has confidence that any problems he faces will work out in the end, somehow. he never worries about anything, always somehow having an answer for whatever arises. he used to be quite hot-headed, which is part of why he became a boxer in his youth, but eventually got scouted by a bodyguard company. he likes this line of work a lot more.
a self-obsessed bounty hunter with a blessed mask, given to her with a promise that if she keeps it on around people for 20 years, she will become the most powerful, most beautiful person alive. she is callous and cares not for others... or so she thinks. deep down, she's a kind and looks out for others without even realizing what she's doing.
a fun and playful young man, Hemlock Hollyhock Hawthorn Hamhock Hemsworth the Third (a mostly-fake name that he adds onto every time someone annoying asks who he is) loves to spend his days doing important things like reading, "not caring," "not worrying," and most importantly of all, "not givin' a rat's ass." he has utmost faith in himself, and thinks everyone else should have faith in themselves the same way. he escaped an abusive household, eventually getting adopted by a couple of farmers.
energetic, friendly, but not always reliable. hozumi owns one of the higher end blacksmithing businesses in his city, though he tends to slack off a bit, leaving a lot of the work to his employees. it's not that he doesn't like his work or that he won't do it, it's just... he loses track of time, since he's been alive for so long, he forgets that mortals don't have the same frame of reference that he does when it comes to time. when he delivers, though, my goodness does he deliver!
ines is a rather goofy and comical person, but remarkably straightforward in everything they do. everything they say is the honest and blunt truth, but at first glance, one could easily mistake them for a lazy jokester-like person. they inherited the adventurers' guild from their parents, a job that's been passed down their family for as long as anyone can remember; they really do enjoy it themselves.
when asked about herself, jack often says that she's an agent of chaos, the oracle of blood and pain, darkness incarnate... things like that. but really, she's a curious and well-mannered kid who just likes cool and edgy things. she tends to come across as kind of rude and dismissive because of how she talks, but it's just a front for the fact she's a little shy. she really likes playing sports and being active, claiming that "a good king of the deep won't rely on others to get the dirty work done," though no one quite understands what that has to do with playing things like baseball.
a senior mail-knight with a bright personality but a nervous disposition. he likes small animals, and is often seen being followed by at least two different stray cats at any given time. in the ranks of the mail-knights, josh is known for being one of the most diligent workers, though he does get a bit nervous delivering to people who live in very large houses; messes with his phobia of heights.
a taciturn person who works at the bounty hunters' guild branch in a large city. they don't care much for their job, but don't mind too much either - it pays well and they get a good amount of days off, which is what matters most. judith likes small round things, but has a pretty severe egg allergy.
a normal human guy who died, had his ghost unwillingly turned into computer data decades ago, and became something of a spectre haunting local wifi. he was pretty pissed at first, but now he's ok with it, realizing that it was pretty stupid being a person all the time forever until you die. he's pretty lazy, but he's surprisingly reliable when it counts.
klaude is a quiet and seemingly cold person, one that keeps everyone at arm's length. mysterious, aloof, a dark aura... but in reality, klaude is mostly just shy and anxious, worried that if people were to get close, they would get hurt. klaude was cursed a few years back, leaving hir in a state halfway between being alive and being a ghost, this new state of affairs being one that sie has been struggling to accept for quite a while.
an explorer of ruins who likes to collect things on his journeys. he has the ability to understand any language, and be understood by anyone no matter which language he speaks in - therein lies the issue, however, of understanding what is trying to be said. he's very friendly but holds everyone at arm's length, seemingly afraid of losing them or being lost himself.
a stagehand working for a certain theater troupe, one which is a cover for a group of assassins. they don't care for much outside of either job, but treat both occupations with the same amount of passion and vigor - which is to say, quite a lot. the leader of the troupe was quite abusive towards everyone, especially kuroko, so when kuroko had the smallest window of escape, they took it gladly.
a gentle person with a bit of a downer demeanor; they feel a bit lackluster compared to their friends and family, not having a storied history or some kind of immense power... but their heart is kind and they're very skilled at anything they do. they took on a job as a tailor in one of the major shrine-cities of teres and have made quite a name for themself as the best one around, offering their services and teaching for cheap.
a stoic and blunt girl who was assigned to leave mount carbunculus, not by way of exile, but to learn about the world outside and bring back info. she's unfriendly, harsh, and sometimes rude, but she really just doesn't have much of a framework in place for socializing. someone lent her a romance novel once as "research material," and now she's got a bit of a fascination with them.
lady was a famous pianist in the north eastern part of teres, one who often wrote songs inspired by historical events. despite her kindness and her great respect for the world around her, she found a knife plunged deep into her chest after a former friend had grown bitter and resentful towards lady's success. however, she's seemingly been granted a second chance to change the world with music: being the ghostly guide to... a rock band formed by a bunch of schoolkids?!
a kind man who puts himself on the line to save others, with little regard for his own safety. he has a lot of love for those around him, and is learning to love himself the way they love him. he feels a strange connection to the moon, but has no idea why.
a skittish and nervous fellow who tries its best every day, though often falls short of its own expectations. it has severe agoraphobia and often can't even leave its house, but likes to go for walks through nearby parks when it can. it has a few pets that it loves to talk about.
a strong, passionate, and driven man who seems stoic but is easily moved by stories of romance. you can get him to do pretty much anything by telling him a love story (happy or not) from your or someone else's past - "oh, my late husband did so love pillbugs..." and laurel is already off to find you one in his honour. he doesn't seem to have good luck in his own affairs, but it doesn't get him down for too long.
harsh, cool, strict, intimidating... words many people use to describe lilium. she keeps everyone at arm's length, leading a very solitary and disciplined life. it's not that she hates fun or anything, but more that she was lead to believe this was the life she was meant to live. through the help of those around her though, she's learning to loosen up a bit and enjoy herself a bit more.
a shy, hardworking, and warm-hearted shepherd of magical animals. they love reading and cooking, and often have to help guide travelers through the misty forest they call home. for some reason, they're the only person in their family to have horns...
a small child who was found on the outskirts of a dwarf village, all alone. she seems like she could be a beastkin, but no one is quite sure, so for now the people who took her in aren't worrying about that - trying to teach her their language and culture is more pressing. she has hands, but seems to prefer using telekinetic powers that she has, which was a very big shock for her caretakers to see for the first time.
an all-loving waitress with a big heart and bigger passion for painting, especially wall murals. she tends to get a little over-attached, and is learning to care for herself more. she had some unfortunate run-ins in the past with people who would take advantage of her nature, but she is clever and always got out just in time, before any real harm was done - the repeated occurance of this has left her a little nervous, though.
a lax yet observant doctor who lives in an unusually strict part of teres, one where doctors are expected to withhold care from people who can't afford it. this infuriated mars, leading them to have a heated argument with the other local doctors, and mars' dismissal from their company. now, mars is working to educate common folk on how to prepare and administer their own medicine and other such things.
a harsh and hardworking miner, martha doesn't really think about much other than his job. he's friendlier if you have common ground to share with him, something to let him make a step to open up, but generally speaking he is just kind of rude. it's not that he hates people or anything, he just... doesn't know quite how to connect, and frankly doesn't really care.
a mechanic who goes above and beyond for his creations - to a worryingly obsessive extent. he has a fascination with the inhuman, the merge of man and machine, and where one stops being one and starts being the many. all that being said though, he's pretty goofy and usually the butt of his coworkers' jokes.
a tall, strong woman who always took to protecting others even from a young age. she's brave, kind, and cares a lot for her loved ones - she's also very rude, brash, and aloof to those she doesn't know. she spends a lot of time drinking at pubs and going for night walks.
a single father working as a humble ceramist on the outskirts of town. he's very carefree and relaxed, often sleeping late into the day and working later into the night, but always making sure his daughter is well cared for. he and his daughter often sing together, a way to help them both calm down if anxiety catches up to either of them.

a young girl who escaped a suffocating abusive home at the bottom of the sea, and now lives in a fishing village where she is loved and supported. she doesn't speak much, communicating mostly through one-word phrases and gestures. she really loves bugs and fish, and sharing what she's learned about them is her greatest joy.
a sweet and rambunctious girl who was found unconscious and alone in an abandoned mine shaft by her soon-to-be adoptive father. she gets ahead of herself a lot, and often has to be reminded that she is just a child who should be having fun instead of planning how to hunt monsters. she loves small animals, mostly squirrels, because she feels she can relate to them.
a friendly knight that everyone looks up to. a big sister figure to all the knights and all the children in the city. loves training, sports, running - any kind of physical activity! people often compare her to a cloudless blue sky. she is of course more complicated than that in her heart, but she doesn't let it show.
a barista in a smalltown cafe-bar-combo. after having a rough and lonely youth, he wanted to do his part to make the world warmer and safer, even if it's only a little bit. makes a mean mocha, though if you said that to him, he would remark that he'd rather make a kind one than a mean one.
the god of electricity, lightning incarnate, hailing from another time and another place. she currently likes sleeping and slacking off, but it's not like she dislikes her role as a god. just likes the freedom of being able to sleep, that's all. she was a mortal being at one point, and she often tells people that she doesn't remember anything from that time, but that couldn't be further from the truth; she remembers it all in painful detail.
nell is an innovator, a genius of her generation, a pioneer for the ages... she invented streaming on teres, though not as you or i would really know it. she has her games hooked up to a projector at the local theater, and plays things for the nearby kids a few times a week. nell loves art and entertainment, passionate about all avenues of self-expression, but these are the ones she finds herself drawn to most. she's confident but not smug, and never acts as a poor sport to anyone she plays with. a great role model for the neighbourhood kids, certainly.
a wandering masked hunter who doesn't stay in one place for too long, seemingly looking for something or someone... nevermore is well known among the locals of the area, and well respected too; she always takes care of pests and threats faster than anyone can even ask her to. newcomers to the area are generally quite scared of her, due to how tall and imposing he seems, but she's really just quite shy. once you get to know him too, he's also quite silly, though in a rather understated way.
niel was an unfortunate victim of the great mage yue, not one that they intended to kill, but someone who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. he has no memory of his life before he was killed, and it weighs on him so, so heavily. he tries to live a carefree life, sleeping in trees and eating anything he wants during the day, but when night falls he feels a strange pull towards the tunnels under his city... where there might, just by chance, be a hint of his former life.
oz is an antiques seller with an odd sense of style, never being seen without some form of odd-shaped sunglasses. they know everything and everyone, until they don't - they're very forgetful, having lived so long, and it does bother them a fair bit. oz was found wandering the streets in a haze after seemingly being revived from death, confused and lost as anyone would be in their place.
in life, petrichor was a confident and playful person, always knowing exactly what to say to get people's attention and loyalty. they were definitely a little more than self-serving with this skill, claiming to be using it for the greater good, but mostly using it to manipulate and take down people they deemed "evil." eventually it cost them their life, leading them to be a ghost bound to the area they were killed, haunting it until very recently.
ren leads just an ordinary peaceful life with their grandmother, a remarkably teensy and intimidating old woman. she taught them all there is to know about makeup, which ren then went on to teach others about on the very rudimentary teres-equivalent internet, gaining them quite a large following. ren's health is considerably poor due to the curse they have, but they don't care too much, since they have fun with friends and family all the time. they're quite cheerful and mellow, often being compared to a capybara by their friends.
a blunt and straightforward person who prefers giving single-word answers, and not speaking unless spoken to. he lives on a ranch with his grandparents, often caring for the animals, but usually keeping an eye out for anything that would bring them harm. he's had a morbid fascination with monsters ever since he was young, a strange feeling that fate will someday bring him face to face with the one that took his parents from him.
a strange man with a horn growing out of his head and discoloured petal-shaped marks on his skin. longtime friends with a hardworking woman in town, she asks him to escort her daughter to a mage school in her stead so the child can begin her training. seems a little testy at first, but he has a good heart. wears two rings on a chain necklace, but hasn't mentioned having a partner.
a foul-mouthed, laid back town guard who's been working the job for over 50 years. she has no family of her own, but a large network of close friends who consider her part of their own; everyone in town loves her though, so a large family it is. she's deceptively scrawny, looking frail and weak but easily able to take anyone down single-handed.
rowan is a high ranking member of the gold rose knights, which serve to protect a few of the cities in the more central region of the land, carrying out her job with pride. she is well loved and respected by everyone around her, but still very shy and lacking in confidence. part of that stems from the fact that she doesn't really know who or what she is; she has no memories of her life prior to her preteen years, and no family that she knows of, having been raised by the knight captain her whole life.
ruby, or frooby as she is known by her friends after stuttering hard on her class introduction, is a very friendly and kind girl! she gets nervous a lot, especially when it comes to first impressions, but she really does her best no matter what. she likes playing the guitar, and got asked to form a band after someone in her class found out about it.
a hardworking and resourceful man with a tendency to focus too hard on his tasks and get lost in them. he is happily married to a strong and handsome knight, with an adopted daughter to boot. salem has a fond spot for turtles, seeing himself in them quite a bit. recently, there's been a bunch of strange and dangerous goings-on in his hometown, and he's very anxious about how this is going to affect his family.
part of a trio of extremely advanced robots designed to conduct surveys of hazardous areas, sirius is an expert at "threat neutralization," he calls it. what he really means is taking care of environmental threats on surveys, such as fallen rocks or difficult terrain, but he has a bit of a morbid sense of humour and likes to describe things in much more threatening terms than they need to be. he's a bit spacey and distant, always staring at people with his eyes wide open and talking in a monotone voice, but he's friendly so everyone likes him. he's really good at prepping ingredients for large meals.
six is an escapee from a mysterious underground lab that exploded (which he may have caused himself), one where he was held captive for as long as he can remember... perhaps he was even created there, but his memory is horribly spotty and painful to dwell on. he took another subject with him, a small dog-like creature named seven, and ran as far as he could before collapsing. eventually, the two were found by a soon-to-retire lighthouse keeper, who set them on their new path. six has trouble speaking, often stuttering and messing up simple sentences, and is generally quite scared of everyone. however, when he can manage to calm down, he's just sort of pleasant and quiet to be around.
a rude and sharp-tongued shopkeeper, one who sells hand-made crafts, hand-picked herbs and mushrooms, hand-blended teas... everything he sells, he either made himself or personally knows whoever did. he is kind, deep down, but constant nightmares and poor health have put him in a sour mood.
stella is a shy child, inquisitive but very withdrawn. he loves cleaning and making sure his house is in good order, just in case anyone comes by to say hello! his house, however, is a "haunted house," so to speak... haunted by stella himself, a soul created by the wish of a lonely child.
steve is just a pleasant person to be around, often described as having a "calming aura" and a "healing presence." she used to work as a cleaner for the city she lived in, but felt trapped in that line of work. eventually she managed to get a position as a product designer for an engineering company, and she's enjoying it much, much more.
sunny is an upbeat and peppy lady, one who is a widely beloved part of her community in snowdell. she's part of a long line of candlemakers, a trade which is sorely needed in the cold and icy northern lands of teres... the warmth and brightness she provides with her work is second only to those she provides with her presence. she collects "puffy things," anything she can find that has a... well, puffy appearance and texture, like those of her skirt and coat. her favourite genre of story is slasher horror.
a sleepy yet driven person with chronic fatigue, but with a bit of help from their friends and neighbours, they've found a way through life. they work for what time they can, making medicine in bulk to distribute in larger batches than most other apothecaries in the area. they have a bright and friendly attitude, but get very quiet a little spaced out when tired.
a softspoken and friendly young lady with an innate power to nullify curses, though she hasn't quite gotten the hang of it and can only use it on a small-scale basis as of now. she loves helping people and sightseeing, especially if she can find a way to combine the two. she's always wearing her favourite hat, also.
someone who lost their memories, their name, their identity, and woke up in a stranger's house. they were given a magic dictionary, and a mission to track down The Name Eater, the entity that took their name and the names of many others - both people and objects. they come across as entirely hollow, having lost everything inside themselves, but... as they journey on, they seem to remember more and learn about new things to love and hate as well.
sensitive and jumpy, towa is definitely not someone you'd consider a professional bounty hunter at first glance. she tends to yelp at the smallest startle, and yet, she is a lot more determined and bold than she herself even knows. she's a good leader, and very reliable especially in dangerous situations.
behold! the many benefits of being a marine biologist: not having to deal with people very often, and being around animals instead. umeko's dream for sure! it loves being in the water, being around the water, playing with sea creatures... they don't expect it to talk, or act any specific way... ah, how lovely!

a monstrously large person who owns a home in a swamp, protecting it fiercely and violently. it seems like she's protecting something inside her house more than the house itself, but no one has ever made it in or out with full memory of the event. however, she is very kind at her core - very shy, very warm, if not extremely awkward.
a spacey and easily startled young man who has a soft spot for bugs of any kind. he's very into learning about all kinds of technology, especially those that can be used for science or art. he got asked to be the audio engineer for his classmates' band, even though none of them really knew him at the time - they had just seen him fiddling with stuff in the computer lab once and jumped the gun, but it went well in the end.
a strange person who lives (you guessed it) in the sewer under a major city. the strange part being that her specific dwelling is inside a train car, lined up horizontal and parallel to many other train cars, lodged in said sewer. she knows a lot about the ongoings of the city above her, but won't tell unless given info or object of equal worth... though, what decides that worth is a mystery to even you or i.
long ago, there was a mage famed for their kindness and talent in using all the elements despite having no formal teaching or practice in such magic. this mage, yue, suddenly went into hiding one day after their entire family turned up dead all at once. no one knew what happened, and since none could get ahold of yue themselves, it seemed like the case would forever go cold. until something that looked like yue appeared, using the same voice, the same mannerisms, and to the misfortune of several former friends of yue, the same magical strength as well.
a bartender who knows everyone's secrets, while no one knows hirs. ze is warm and friendly, but keeps everyone at arm's length, preferring to "keep things professional" even when off the clock. ze would never tell anyone this, but ze has a soft spot - a bleeding heart almost - for people who can't say what they want... as ze can relate quite a bit.
a somewhat skittish but very curious young woman who was found unconscious at the entrance of mount carbunculus, having passed out from exhaustion on her travels. she was nursed back to health by the carbuncles, and given the honor of being the first non-carbuncle in history to set foot in their settlement, as well as being the one to open up trade routes between them and the outside world. she presses flowers from around the world in her journal.
