esterházy

esterházy is an imago, a type of ghost born from the strong magical outburst of a dying wish. at first, it wasn't sure what it was born from. there were no bodies nearby, and the fact that it was even aware of its situation - or sentient to begin with - was something to take note of. but beyond that, esterházy didn't know anything about itself. it just... woke up in the branches of the world tree, and began climbing down. eventually, esterházy made it to land (or, floating island rather) and disembarked from the tree. it wandered around a bit, before stumbling into a party of campers who were singing and dancing loudly, something about gratitude to the dragon. something stirred in esterházy's heart, but it wasn't sure what.

esterházy has a bit of a blank disposition, not knowing who or what it was for the longest time. however, given the time and space to explore the world and itself, it's become almost mischevious in nature. it loves to harmlessly prank people, but within reason of course. in recent days, it's become a welcomed part of the townships of yggdra's isles, a treasured neighbour and friend. it sometimes describes itself as "a charmingly tricky creature" to those who ask about it. the most important thing to mx. esterházy though, what it enjoys most, is watching by the sidelines and listening to the stories of others. to see so much emotion and experience in the daily lives of ordinary people moves it beyond words.

i. personality

• observant - it's always keeping a careful eye out for anything interesting
• detached - it doesn't really feel a need to form strong bonds with others, feeling that it'd be a little strange to do so... as it's essentially the will of the planet itself
• inquisitive - it wants to know everything it can about the world around it!
• fun-loving - pranks, gags, jokes... it loves a good bit
• flat-affect - it doesn't express much emotion through voice or body language

ii. design notes - esterházy was designed by mantispire on toyhouse!

• it has lots of piercings, notably its ears, nipples, and tongue
• it has small breasts
• it's covered in fur, some of it short and velvety and some a little fluffier, especially on its chest and arms
• its legs are a smoother texture from the knee down, with hooves at the end
• its lower lip is teal with a back stripe going vertically down the middle

iii. motifs

• the moon with a hole in it
• dragonflies
• mist, haze, fog
• tassels
• flowing, twisty wisps or fabric

iv. trivia

• it's good at playing wind instruments
• it can digest anything, since it doesn't have the same organs or enzymes as a mortal creature
• its body is solid but parts evaporate and reappear where they should be
• people often give it various accessories and clothing as gifts, which it accepts gladly
• for a while it didn't have a home of its own, since it doesn't need to eat or sleep, but eventually it was offered a room in one of the houses near the center of town, which it thought "sure, why not?" about and moved into
