no one knows what this is. it's been around forever, and there's only one. it can talk and has been sighted in hundreds of spots all around the world, speaking every language known to teres with perfect fluency. generally, people think of it as a sign of good fortune, especially for harvests. it's solid, with the "flesh" inside just being a strange cream-coloured almost... clay-like consistency. any parts that are severed will grow back from the larger portion of the body while the smaller part disintegrates. it smells sweet, like various pastries, and its face emotes like an early 2000s anime girl. it's pretty friendly.
it might be a god, to be honest. it's really, really likely, but it doesn't care. it's usually found in or around unpopulated areas, but it has been seen just walking through town streets, just having a grand old time.

- some people have claimed it has no teeth, whereas others claim it has too many
