frangipani

a mysterious and jovial person who seems to have some kind of underlying darkness to them. that being said, they aren't like... a scary murder clown. no, no. frangipani feels that the world is a very unfair place and wants to work to rectify it, but is currently unsure how to best go about it, and therefore feels conflicted in almost every action they take. the one thing that they know for sure is that circuses make people happy, usually, so they can't be that bad.

frangipani is one of no small number of anthousai who feel that it isn't fair that they were made to fight, but born into a newly peaceful world. to be denied the very purpose for their birth is just cruel, isn't it? but that isn't to say they want to be violent, they just think... there must be some underlying meaning for that purpose, for that destiny. so whatever that true purpose was, the anthousai are owed the fulfillment of that at the very least. and frangipani will see it through, somehow, someday.

i. personality

• strategic - they think fast, often being able to make up coherent plans on the fly
• natural leader - more often than not, they find themselves in such a position
• uncaring - when they have a goal, they don't care about your actual feelings on it; you're either with them or against them
• responsible - they always take whatever steps necessary to make sure things turn out the way they should, even if it seems overly prepared
• fun - despite how serious all the rest of these traits are, they are genuine about their work at the circus

ii. design notes

• their face is white, that part isn't makeup
• they rarely open their eyes, but they are narrow with red irises and slit pupils
• they have no eyebrows
• they have digitigrade legs and small, narrow feet
• their limbs, tail, and ears have a light green tint to them

• jesters
• wilting flowers

iv. trivia

• usually, if they stay idle in the sunlight for too long, they'll start to doze off
• because of their tail and legs, they're very good at balancing, and therefore very good at the tightrope
• they don't need to sleep, eat, or bathe, and will often forego those things entirely in favour of doing more work around the circus
• they do have hands in those sleeves, but for performances, they like having them covered for the visual aesthetic
• their magical talent is almost like mind-reading, but not nearly as direct or intense; they can sense the immediate emotion of anyone in a 5 meter radius
