gon

gon-chan, as they are formally known by friends and teachers alike, is a very quiet person. they mind their own business, they give extremely blunt one-word answers, and they often just tune people out mid-conversation. people often take all of this to mean that gon-chan is a rude and inconsiderate person, but the truth is... well, they kind of are. but what they want most is for people to stop focusing on things they don't need to dwell on, especially small negatives that mean nothing in the long run. the positives will fuel you longer, so if you're going to think about anything for more than 5 minutes, focus on that instead.

the "5 minute rule" is a driving principle of gon-chan's life. think about something for 5 minutes, with complete focus, and come to a decision at the end. no more, no less. this is how they decided to start a band with their classmate that they barely knew, all because she accidentally dropped a guitar pick in class once.

i. personality

• single-minded - they tend to focus a little too hard on one thing at a time, often needing to be snapped out of things by other people
• closed-off - they don't like to open up to anyone, and don't feel any need to
• hardworking - when they want to do something, very little that could stop an average teenager would be able to stop them
• kind - they like helping people and doing things for others whenever it's needed
• blunt - they do not mince words, ever; not even to teachers or family

ii. design notes

• if they were a human on earth, they'd be mixed black-filipino; just keep it in mind if you're drawing them!
• their hair is stylized to look like small curved spikes, but realistially it would be a spiked afro
• they are short and stocky
• they have a beauty mark under their right eye (your left when viewing them)
• they mostly wear monochrome clothing, but don't mind muted colours; they always wear pants or long skirts though

iv. trivia

• they are autistic
• they're really good at math
• they don't understand the concept of being ashamed of oneself
• one of their hobbies is writing short stories - they're not particularily good at it, nor do they care about getting better, since the stories are all goofy one-off things that they use in songs
• they watch a lot of anime but don't care much about retaining info from them, so they can't tell you what their favourite would be
