ines

ines is a rather goofy and comical person, but remarkably straightforward in everything they do. everything they say is the honest and blunt truth, but at first glance, one could easily mistake them for a lazy jokester-like person. they like to kick up their feet while they work, their office smelling of smoke most days. peoples' first impressions of ines are usually rather poor because of this, but it doesn't take long for that to change; they're reliable and get all their work done in a timely manner.

they don't have much patience for people who say more than they need to, or people who don't cut right to the point of what they're saying. they really value doing just what you need to, and nothing more. they often encourage the shy to speak up and say what they feel, especially if ines can feel determination underneath the meek attitude. "that's it," ines would say. "let those sparks fly free, i know you're stronger than you think!"

they inherited the adventurers' guild from their parents, a job that's been passed down their family for as long as anyone can remember. people often ask ines if that's alright with them, if that's what they really want - were they forced to take up the role? but ines always assures them, this is indeed what they actually want. being that ines is the most honest person most people know, you can definitely believe they mean it.

i. personality

• level-headed - they have to be a fair, calm, rational judge of all things relating to their work
• clever - ines is a quick thinker, sometimes a little mischievous in their methods, but always ingenious
• intuitive - they pick up things that others don't, especially when it comes to other peoples' emotions or reaction, and they know how to put those noticed tidbits to use
• easy-going - a lot of people think of them as some kind of schemer, what with how quick-witted and observant they are, but they're so casual about... everything, really, that there's never anything to worry about
• confident - they know what they're doing, they know how to do it right, and they know how to do it well

ii. design notes

• they have no eyebrows!
• they're a bit lanky, with a flat chest and light olive skin
• they have pale yellow eyes, and matching circular tattoos above and below their eyes, between their collarbones; they have line tattoos going down their limbs in the same shade of yellow
• they like wearing a lot of long, baggy, layered clothes in bright cold colours
• their hair is thick and a little shaggy, and they like tying it up in different styles depending on their mood

iv. trivia

• they are allergic to cats
• they claim to be able to see a spark in the eyes of determined people; whether this is true or not is between them and their clients
• they are usually a little bit high, even at work
• they like wearing jewelry, but it tends to get lost somehow, so it's usually cheaper stuff
• they wear reading glasses, but they haven't found frames they like yet, so they try to avoid letting other people see it; a little self conscious...
