stéphanie favre

steve is just a pleasant person to be around, often described as having a "calming aura" and a "healing presence." she loves to listen to peoples' woes and help them solve problems! ah, but it's not like she's happy that they're suffering, no no... she just likes to see people overcome hardships, feeling proud and happy for them. if she can help, then that's even better. she struggles a bit with getting her feelings out in a way that makes sense to others, but she's been learning little handy tricks for that, usually to do with art in some way. a looming feeling of inadequacy follows her wherever she goes, but she always trucks through it eventually, always understanding that it is as much a part of her as all her other parts are.

stéphanie grew up in the north-western part of teres, in a cold and icy city where the peoples' attitudes were much the same. she found work as an assistant in an artisan's workshop, one who specialized in glasswork accessories, and while she greatly enjoyed the work itself... the owner and his patrons left much to be desired, at least in terms of kindness. he was rude, blunt to a fault, and didn't show much respect to anyone who didn't fit his rigid standards for "upstanding citizenry," and his attitude brought much the same in terms of clientele. it was suffocating! it was dreadful! it was the worst!

but on one sunny afternoon, a strange and ramshackle airship found itself on the city's landing strip. steve looked at it and thought "jeez, that doesn't look very safe," and found herself wandering over to it to take a closer look. the captain of the ship, one young lady named biscuit, took notice to steve's proximity and immediately asked what was wrong. they hit it off pretty quickly, and biscuit asked steve if she'd like to come aboard and be part of her crew. it's not like steve had much attachment to her life in this city, so... she took the offer, and the rest is history.

i. personality

• shy - she's always felt very awkward around others, often stuttering and hesitating through her thoughts until she's warmed up to those around her
• clever - she's quick to notice things, especially problems in her surroundings, and even quicker to think of solutions
• warm - contrary to where she grew up, steve is one of the warmest, gentlest people you could ever meet
• creative - she's always got some kind of project on the go, and all of them are very very inventive and cool!
• downer - she doesn't have much faith in herself, always putting herself down even though she's proven time and time again that she is a kind and talented individual

• she is fat and stocky, with a small chest
• she's quite pale and covered in freckles
• her hair almost always covers her eyes, but not always - her eyes are periwinkle, by the way
• she usually wears overalls and nice, flowy blouses, and always wears a bandana on her head
• she has a couple scars on her body, mostly on her hands but a couple on her arms and legs as well

• she's really good at singing!
• she loves cute things, but her definition of cute can be a little strange to others; if it can fit in her hands, it's cute! even if it looks ugly and scary to everyone else!
