a university city, being home to the world's largest library as well. many of the teachers at the grand oxcord academy are musically trained, and more still are "chanters," mages who specialize in casting many spells in a short amount of time. they sound something like what you or i would call auctioneers.

- has quite a few mountain peaks nearby, but nothing too extreme.
- population is evenly mixed, with a long-standing history of hooved beastkin living in the area.
- one of the teachers at the academy recently tried to start a band, but was shot down because they couldn't explain what "groove metal" was supposed to be.
- the shrine is found in the depths of the underground portion of the library. the dean of the school reports directly to the purple god.
